Michelin’s stars are about to get their own feature-length film. In his new documentary Michelin Stars: Tales From the Kitchen, Rasmus Dinesen sits down with some of the industry’s most revered figures — Daniel Humm, René Redzepi, Alain Ducasse, Guy Savoy, Andoni Luis Aduriz, and ten other star chefs, big-time food critics, even a Michelin director — to hear how three little symbols on a piece of paper, doled out by a tire company, became so coveted.
It promises lots of food porn, naturally, and also to illustrate the “dark flip side of the shiny coin” that comes with Michelin’s Midas touch. The film gets its worldwide premiere on September 23, during the San Sebastián Film Festival.
