Starburst Gives the World What It’s Been Asking for With ‘All Pink’ Packs

All strawberryish flavored.

Just like with banana Runts and red Skittles, arms have undoubtedly been lost reaching for the last pink Starburst (especially if the other one was yellow). Because it’s a peace-loving company that also cares about reducing food waste, Starburst announced today that it’s going to finally release packs that only have the pink ones inside. So no more buying a set of 12 candies in order to acquire a maximum of three that you, a grown human, will eat. Starting in April, you can get a pack, or even a whole bag, of limited-edition “All Pink,” which is likely unwelcome news to eBay’s cottage industry of suspicious vendors who sell them in bulk.

People are wearing out the caps-lock key in their excitement over this one:

No surprise, Wrigley’s senior director of confections Matt Montei explains that the idea came directly from Starburst fans. “On social media we’re seeing people talk about pink Starburst more than any other flavor; there’s even a meme about being treated ‘like a Pink Starburst,’” he said in a statement. “The Pink conversation and fanfare has continued to grow so we decided to act.” Packs will be available for purchase at most major retailers (Walmart, Kroger, Target, Walgreens, and HEB), as well as Amazon, for people who plan to hoard them by the UPS-truckful.
