In response to Trump’s controversial executive order, a talented group of chefs — Egg’s Evan Hanczor, Franny’s Ian Auger, La Vara’s Alex Raij, White Gold Butchers’ Erika Nakamura and Jocelyn Guest, and Oxalis’ Nico Russell — is hosting a charity night to support the International Refugee Assistance Project. They’ll serve drinks and canapés on Wednesday, Febrary 15 at Egg in Williamsburg from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets cost $75 — with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to IRAP — and there will also be a silent auction. It’s a nice way to give back and surround yourself with like-minded people who care as much about advocacy as they do good food.
