Anti-Gay Picketers Are Harassing Comet Ping Pong Right in Time for Trump’s Inauguration

The employees and owner of Washington, D.C., pizzeria Comet Ping Pong received death threats late last year as a result of the bogus Pizzagate hoax. An armed gunman even showed up to investigate the claims that Hillary Clinton and her campaign chairman John Podesta ran a child-sex-trafficking ring out of the restaurant. Their personal hell is not over. On the eve of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, protesters have gathered outside the pizzeria to protest and deliver a pointedly homophobic message. (The restaurant’s owner, James Alefantis, is openly gay.)

Protesters can be seen in images posted to Twitter picketing with signs bearing slogans like “homo sex is sin.” In videos posted by neighboring café Little Red Fox, a man can be heard over a loudspeaker saying “wake up and turn from your sin” and telling a woman yelling back at him to “hush up.” Several cops arrived on the scene, but the protesters reportedly aren’t going anywhere for now.
