The promo begins in just a few minutes, but that’s still plenty of time to get resourceful and locate a preposterously large container to maximize your bang for your Slurpee buck on Bring Your Own Cup Day. As usual, 7-Eleven says anything (within reason) with empty enclosed space is fair game, though obviously the more absurd the better. Best news is this BYO “day” actually lasts two days — today and tomorrow, anytime between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. No matter what you lug in, if it’s sanctioned, it’s just $1.50 to fill up.
The rules are simple:
Size Matters: Cup must fit upright through a 10” hole
Keep It Clean: Your cup must be food safe
Plug the Leaks: Your cup must be watertight
Slurpee for All: One cup per person on #BYOCupDay
Sneakers and pets (?) are also expressly prohibited for use as vessels, but going tiki with a hollowed-out pineapple or coconut is highly encouraged. Still, don’t think pulling your best Don the Beachcomber is going to impress anybody. That bar is pretty high:
