Summer isn’t over yet! With each year, the food at Rockaway Beach only gets better — pro pastry chef Tracy Obolsky is even opening a bakery there. On Saturday, August 27, design studio the MP Shift is hosting a dinner that unites some of Rockaway’s most talented chefs: In addition to Obolsky’s desserts, there will be food from local favorites like La Cevicheria, Whit’s End, and Goody’s. Tickets for the three-course meal cost $75 and benefit Rockaway Rising, a charity that’s working to fight the area’s high high-school-dropout rates. You can purchase them here.
