According to the New York Post, the Upper East Side location of Shake Shack has received more 311 complaint records than any other New York restaurant within the past year — mostly over upset stomachs and symptoms like “abdominal cramps.” If this sounds suspicious, it’s because it likely is: Spokesperson Edwin Bragg says the company has “long suspected that a former employee was behind a series of phony complaints following termination.” Plus, the Health Department hasn’t been able to properly investigate, owing to a lack of evidence and the fact that many of the complaints are anonymous. So how long until this former employee eggs Danny Meyer’s car?
