The Snack Game Is Strong at Newly Opened Ludlow Coffee Supply

Long gone are the days when cool coffee shops only sold mediocre pastries: Now places like Suprema and Kopitiam are putting as much thought into the food as the coffee itself. The latest example is Ludlow Coffee Supply, Sweet Chick restaurateur John Seymour’s new Lower East Side “social space,” next door to his chicken-and-waffles restaurant. Beyond coffee — a proprietary blend locally roasted in Red Hook — there will be made-to-order toasts, egg dishes, and salads. Plus, the frosted glass door in back opens into Ludlow Barber Supply, so you can get a haircut as you sip on a cortado. Take a look:
