It was only yesterday that David Chang announced that he’s opening a delivery-only restaurant concept (called Ando), and now comes the news that he’s developing a concept for the South Street Seaport’s Pier 17, too. Will it be a Fuku? Another proper restaurant, like Nishi? A pork-bun paradise? Details are sparse, but Chang’s in good company, as Jean-Georges Vongerichten is leading the charge on two massive Pier 17 projects, which are set to open in mid- to late-2017. In the meantime, Chang, please take a vacation.
