The Second Episode of the ‘Grub Street Podcast’ Focuses on Martinis

ICYMI: Grub Street now has a podcast, in which editor Alan Sytsma chats with New York restaurant critic Adam Platt about all things food and drink. The latest episode zeroes in on martinis, specifically: The two discuss how the cocktail revival got out of hand and became a parody of itself, as well as why the martini, according to Platt, is “still the one classic cocktail you would hope to get made properly in the general run of bars.”

The “Grub Street Podcast” is produced by the Slate Group’s Panoply, and it’s available on iTunes, Stitcher, and SoundCloud.
