Cartman and everyone else in South Park last night discovered the power of mentioning to restaurants that they’re Yelp critics, much to the disgust of the whole town’s service industry. In standard South Park fashion, it turns ugly very fast. (Lead item on the nightly news: “Another local business is closing its doors tonight after being taken down by Yelp critics. Whistlin’ Willy’s, a child favorite in town, was destroyed, and its owner stripped and beheaded. The following video is graphic.”) A truce of sorts is finally struck when Kyle and a busboy devise a plan to award every Yelper in South Park a big, conspicuous gold badge signaling restaurants around town to “always” give them the “special treatment” they deserve, as Mayor McDaniels instructs.
