Another American Restaurant Has Earned Michelin’s Highest Rating

Following the announcement of New York’s starred restaurants, Michelin has unveiled the San Francisco Bay Area chefs included in its 2016 guide. The biggest news is that David Kinch has finally received three stars — an especially meaningful victory, considering he had to close and reopen Manresa after a fire. It’s curious that Dominique Crenn’s Atelier Crenn remains stuck at the two-star level. New additions to the one-star category include Kin Khao, Al’s Place, Commonwealth, and Nico, among others, and La Folie and Boulevard both lost stars. Here’s the complete list:
