
Andy George, host of a web series called How to Make Everything and basically a next-level Brooklyn artisan (for fun he weaves his own suit from alpaca he sheered himself), reminds everyone that even life’s simplest things, like making a sandwich, aren’t so easy.
His little project cost $1,500 and involved slaughtering a chicken, boiling seawater to make salt, milking a cow for cheese, harvesting wheat, churning butter, brining cucumbers, and waiting six months for vegetables to grow. All for a sandwich he said tasted “not bad — that’s about it.”
