If national food-focused “holidays” are good for anything, it’s free stuff — and today, in honor of something dubious called National Coffee Day, you can get your caffeine fix without paying a cent. Here’s where to go:
Dunkin’ Donuts: one free medium cup of hot or iced coffee.
Krispy Kreme: a free 12-ounce coffee and a free glazed doughnut.
Eataly: a free cup of Lavazza drip-coffee from 1 to 3 p.m. only.
Jacques Torres: free coffee and espresso drinks at the 57th Street location.
Martha Stewart Café: free eight-ounce cup of hot coffee.
Zaro’s Bakery: free coffee with any purchase.
Whole Foods: a 12-ounce cup of coffee isn’t quite free — it costs $0.25 — but at least the promotion runs through the end of September.
The Coffee Bean: half-off iced coffees, iced Americanos, and flavored iced coffees.
The Tuscan Gun: Owner Debi Mazar will pass out free coffee from 8 a.m. to noon.
Peet’s: a free small cup of coffee with food purchase.
Birch Coffee: a free Lactaid latte from 7 to 10 a.m., which is made with lactose-free milk.
Cosi: free iced or hot coffee.
