Here’s a heartwarming act of kindness: Seattle’s venerated Canlis, now run by Roberta’s alum Brady Williams, closed last night in response to a fatal accident on the nearby Aurora Bridge. Owner Brian Canlis and his team brought water and food to first responders, city officials, and emergency-crew members — a real classy gesture that touched locals. It’s actually the first time in the restaurant’s 65-year history that Canlis has closed its doors unexpectedly.
