Another Restaurant Owner Posted a Crazy Facebook Rant After Getting a Bad Yelp Review

Poor form.
Poor form.

Yet another restaurateur has written an ugly post berating a customer: Sunset Terrace Restaurant & Lounge owner “Tyrone” (no last name given) couldn’t hold it together after Yelper Brooke Lewis left a nasty review, so he used Facebook to casually call her mom schizophrenic and ask her to “please, please, please have the common decency to kill yourself.” Making the outburst even less appropriate, if that’s possible, is the fact that the Yelp review went up almost a year ago. Tyrone says he tried back then to reply on Yelp, but “it was blocked.” (Weird!)

In her original one-star review, Lewis wrote Sunset Terrance deserved “less than 1” star for not taking her mother’s order, and because Tyrone told her boyfriend to break up with the “crazy bitch” after they both called to complain. Then, on Facebook yesterday, Tyrone explained he “came to choose such spicy language” because Lewis allegedly lied about what happened, cursed at his employees, and then told him she “had a lot of friends and we would ‘get a lot more bad Yelp and Facebook reviews.’”

Sunset Terrace’s Yelp rating has since tanked, but Tyrone refuses to say sorry. “I do not apologize,” he writes, “to Brooke, her boyfriend Erik, and others like them who use social media like Yelp and Facebook to threaten and blackmail hospitality workers and businesses alike.” Regardless, writing, “The world will be a little bit better of place once you no longer a part of it” is totally disgusting.
