Southern Wine & Spirits, which represents thousands of alcohol brands around the world, is involved in an unflattering scandal: After Laurent-Perrier executive Sabine Latapie called off her distribution deal with the company, two Southern Wine & Spirits managers retaliated by texting her a photo. It showed the two men getting groped by a stripper at the Hustler Club in New York … as they poured out about $1,000 worth of Laurent-Perrier Champagne. Way to play it cool!
Southern Wine & Spirits has now announced that it’s suspending several employees while it investigates the “disturbing allegations.” Latapie, who posted about the incident on Facebook, called the whole incident “sexual harassment.” Remember: It’s not a good idea to send a photo from a strip club to a former client — or, rather, to anyone at all.
