Following in the footsteps of New York institutions like Jackie’s 5th Amendment and Milady’s, Chinatown bar Winnie’s will reportedly close next month. The Bayard Street spot, which has operated for 28 years, is beloved for its karaoke and Hawaiian Punch.
An employee confirms to Jeremiah’s Vanishing New York that the landlord has plans to rent out the space to a new tenant, and that Winnie’s will remain open until the end of March. Now, which sad karaoke song should you sing to say good-bye?
