A report from TMZ claims that reality-television star Buddy Valastro was arrested for driving while intoxicated early this morning in Manhattan. A law-enforcement source tells the gossip site that Valastro was booked after police spotted a driver “weaving” all over Tenth Avenue in a yellow Corvette — not this 1,500-pound Camaro cake that transforms into Bumblebee, alas — and he subsequently “blew well above the legal limit.” None of this will likely affect the giddy throngs of cannoli-tower-cake-seekers at Valastro’s Port Authority restaurant, but the baker was charged with DWI and is expected to be arraigned this morning.
