The one-stop depot for kitchen tools, knives, culinary magazines, and a selection of organic groceries inside the nearly nine-month-old Gotham West Market closed on Sunday. Brooklyn Kitchen’s Williamsburg headquarters is still open, thank goodness, and as of now it is unclear what will replace it in the Hell’s Kitchen food hall. Caroline Fidanza’s Little Chef folded in April and was quickly replaced by Akhtar Nawab’s Choza Taqueria, and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream unleashed a surprise pop-up for the summer, so it’s a pretty good bet we’ll find out what’s replacing Brooklyn Kitchen in the days ahead.
