A WNYC report on the rise of food halls like Hudson Eats, Gotham West Market, Berg’n, and Claus Meyer’s forthcoming Nordic behemoth in midtown also reveals that UrbanSpace NYC is working on a year-round, 12,000-square foot market “across from Grand Central Station.” It will debut sometime in the winter of 2015 with around 25 vendors, “mostly food.” This one sounds a lot like the “artisanal food market” near the Vanderbilt Avenue Pedestrian Corridor that was announced in March.
