Just as we speculated yesterday, former North End Grill chef Floyd Cardoz will indeed return to the downtown restaurant scene by teaming up with media entrepreneurs Dan Abrams and Dave Zinczenko, along with restaurateur Christine Cole, on White Street. The former Churrascaria Tribeca space has high ceilings, and renovations include chandeliers and marble that Cole says will evoke a sense of “sophistication and glamour of old New York.” Cardoz and chef de cuisine Jason Lawless, who cooked at Tocqueville, will serve an American-food-centered menu.
