Last month, David Burke, the chef and restaurateur who put “New American” food on the map and his name on dozens of establishments around the country in the process, announced that he was splitting with an unnamed partner at his David Burke Group. He tells Crain’s there were “some operational differences” that led to the move. It remains unclear if the ten restaurants that sport the chef’s name will shift gears or themes in the near future, but in the meantime Burke says that he and new partner Musa Tadros are planning to open restaurants in Chicago and New York with their venture, Chew on This Enterprises.
