Pok Pok Phat Thai Moves to Brooklyn; Goat Town to Close and Reopen As GG’s

All’onda debuts its new market lunch this week. The $28, two-course menu changes daily based on market availability, with dishes like asparagus soup and crispy pig’s head with pickled Swiss chard and mustard sugo. [Grub Street]

Goat Town will close on July 4, with plans to open as a completely new restaurant, GG’s, this September. GG’s will serve pizza and ingredients sourced from the restaurant’s garden out back. [Eater NY]

• Tomorrow, June 25, Gin Palace will hold a fund-raiser for the Lower Eastside Girls Club. There will also be a Michael Jackson tribute, honoring the anniversary of the King of Pop’s death. The event starts at 9 p.m. [Grub Street]

• For the Fourth of July, Distilled will offer a Patriot Package. The $60, two-person feast will be available throughout the day and includes a whole fried chicken, biscuits, cocktails, and more. [Grub Street]

Pok Pok Phat Thai, Andy Ricker’s first New York restaurant (it opened as Pok Pok Wing in 2012) will move from the Lower East Side in November to 127 Columbia Street, Pok Pok Ny’s original home before if moved up the block in November of 2013. Including Whiskey Soda Lounge, this brings Ricker’s grand total of Pok Poks on Columbia Street to three, for those of you playing along at home. [NYT]
