
Back in October, it was announced that Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group had partnered with King & Grove to run F&B; operations in the hotel’s Manhattan outpost, at 29 East 29th Street, and that chef Nick Anderer of Maialino would oversee the restaurant with manager Terry Coughlin. Today we learn from the Times that the restaurant, called Marta, will serve “thin crust, Roman-style” pizzas when it opens this August, as well as antipasti and family-style food. Marta marks Meyer’s first pizza restaurant and the first instance, Off the Menu reports, of a chef working for the restaurant group being in control of more than one establishment. [NYT, Earlier]
