Two managers at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino branch of scenester-y Il Mulino got busted this week for allegedly writing a total of $109,000 in payroll checks to former employees, then cashing out through various bank accounts they controlled. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office indicted Jason Spurlock, a Trattoria Il Mulino manager, and Suzanne Adkisson, an administrator, on Wednesday, after an 18-month investigation into the fraud, which reportedly took place from 2009 to 2012. The photo caption that runs with the Press of Atlantic City’s story reads “Trattoria Il Mulino offers great food, but is a bit pricey for a casual restaurant.” Maybe there’s a reason for that.
