Chowder, lobster rolls, and more will be served today beginning at 11:30 a.m. at 16 Extra Place in the East Village, the address of Manhattan’s first brick-and-mortar outpost of the well-loved Red Hook Lobster Pound. Narragansett Lager, Bronx Brewery’s Pale Ale, and Allagash White are on tap, and there’s also Sweet ‘tauk Soju Elixir, made by the Pound’s East End shop partner. Owner Susan Povich says that the new shop will soon begin delivering lobster rolls, too, just as soon as she gets a phone. Outdoor seating will also debut shortly. [Earlier]
