Jackson Heights residents say a local Starbucks has been leaving open bags of food waste and coffee grounds on 79th Street “for several years,” and despite attempts to get through to the coffee shop’s management and corporate headquarters, there’s been no change. Councilmember Danny Dromm held a rally with a few locals this morning — one of whom brandished a broom — to protest the situation. “Enough is enough,” he said, reports DNAinfo. “We have had it.” A Starbucks spokesperson tells the site that “being a good neighbor is really important” to the company and they are investigating.
