Petition Seeks to Stop Pizzerias From Opening on the LES

Fight back.
Fight back.

A new Change.org petition created by an 18-year resident of the Lower East Side claims that the neighborhood’s “low to mid-priced food options are dwindling,” and somehow, the glut of (presumably mediocre) pizza places is at fault for this. “Yeah, every time a restaurant shutters, it seems like a shitty pizza place is born,” the unnamed petitioner tells EV Grieve. “I’m sick of it.” So far, he or she has garnered around thirteen signatures.
