Former Per Se and Zutto chef Joshua Smookler will turn his current ramen and steamed-bun pop-up, which operates after-hours in a Queens bagel shop, into a permanent restaurant. Mu Ramen, which Smookler runs with his wife, Heidy He, will open in an as-yet-unannounced location near Bricktown Bagels in Long Island City as early as July, DNAInfo reports. The chef says to expect an expanded menu beyond its lineup of pork-belly buns, spicy ramen, and fried oysters. [DNAInfo, Earlier]
