Here’s more on James Murphy’s Blue Bottle espresso, which coffee-company founder James Freeman described yesterday as a direct extension of Murphy’s “deep and abiding love for coffee.” The blend, called “House of Good,” is “syrupy, well-balanced and thoroughly accessible,” with “dried cherry, cocoa, meyer lemon” flavors. It’s now being pulled and sold by the pound at Blue Bottle’s new Dean Street coffee bar. Murphy began tinkering with the blend more than two years ago. [Pitchfork, Earlier]
