As we reported earlier, a massive structural overhaul of the Ninth Avenue building that houses Keith McNally’s iconic brasserie Pastis will shut the establishment down beginning January 31. The restaurateur’s Pulino’s on the Bowery closed late last month, but that restaurant will reopen as a French place called Cherche Midi this spring, a fact that had some McNally conspiracy theorists worried that Pastis wouldn’t actually reopen as announced. Today, however, a manager at the meatpacking-district restaurant tells the Daily News that McNally has signed a new, fifteen-year lease on the space, and the moules frites and beet salads will be back in fifteen months.
