In addition to those upcoming lunchtime classes with noted literary figures, East Village restaurant Calliope will also host a dinner and a reading with noted herring enthusiast Gary Shteyngart, beginning at 6 p.m. on January 26. To mark the occasion, co-chefs and owners Ginevra Iverson and Eric Korsh will cook Russian food in place of Calliope’s regular French fare. The meal is $85 for five courses, not including beverages and gratuity. It does, however, include a copy of Shteyngart’s new memoir, Little Failure. [McNally Jackson, Related, Related]
