Blogger and public-school educator Lillie Marshall was up late with her new baby one night last week when she received an urgent e-mail from a friend that read, in part: “Are you aware that you are the face of the Synagogue Restaurant in Accra, Ghana?!” Marshall had once taught in Ghana and chronicled the experience on her blog, but otherwise says that she has no idea how her likeness ended up on an enormous billboard 5,000 miles away, advertising a restaurant she’s never visited. Perhaps unsurprisingly, calls to the Synagogue Restaurant in Accra have been less than fruitful. [Boston Daily]
