Filipino Dinner at the Spotted Pig; New Year’s Eve at Betony

• On Monday, December 16, from 5:30 p.m. until 2 a.m., the Spotted Pig will host its second Filipino Night, where sous-chef Edie Ugot will prepare traditional dishes. A portion of the proceeds will go toward helping the typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines. [Grub Street]

Betony will host an upscale New Year’s Eve party with seatings available at 8:30, 9, and 9:30 p.m. The dinner will feature a nine-course tasting menu with dishes like caviar with sea urchin and grilled short rib with sweetbreads and romaine. • Bleecker Kitchen & Co., a new seasonal American concept, will open at 643 Broadway on Thursday December 12. The 60-seat restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, alongside a to-go counter that will serve pastries and coffee.
