The chain restaurant’s corporate masterminds in Plano, Texas, issued an emphatic statement in support of Tony Rohr, a Pizza Hut general manager who was recently let go from his Elkhart, Indiana, outlet after more than ten years on the job. Rohr had gone public with the news that he had been asked to sign a letter of resignation after he refused to open the restaurant on Thanksgiving. “[W]e strongly recommended that the local franchisee reinstate the store manager and they have agreed,” Pizza Hut’s statement read in part.
