Brooklyn

Brooklyn’s First Whole Foods Will Be the Most Brooklyn Whole Foods Ever

In addition to that hydroponic arugula farm, Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo’s ricotta cheescake, and a rooftop beer garden serving Brooklyn Cured meat and Brooklyn Brine pickles, the Whole Foods market about to open on the Gowanus Canal’s right bank will also be the exclusive retailer (for now, at least) of Evil Twin Smoked Chocolate Chestnut Stout, a partnership between brewer Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso and Norwalk chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt, who will in turn use the brewer’s products to make a beer-infused chocolate truffle. Though both products will carry the name “Even More Denmark,” don’t be fooled: This is all very, very Brooklyn. Just watch.
