Great news for French-fry lovers who don’t like waiting for things: A company called iDriveThrough has figured out a way to link credit cards with users’ E-ZPass tags, which can then be used to pay for fast food in drive-through lanes. Five Wendy’s on Staten Island are now equipped with E-ZPass checkouts, where the charge goes straight to the linked card and drive-through customers can skip the payment window altogether. It also includes the dubious benefits of collecting “rewards points” for future discounts and the inestimable value of not having to look a real person in the face while you’re making your seventh trip to Wendy’s in three days.
