Flatiron’s eclectic No Idea bar, of free-drink Name Nights fame, will close on November 1 after 21 years, MadParkNews reports. But No Idea patrons won’t have to mourn for long: The owners are moving onward and westward with a new joint on West 24th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The equally unambitiously dubbed One Star bar, which has long been in the works, now has a tentative opening date of November 6, and will offer a less-free but nonetheless fun version of Name Night going forward: If yours matches the designated name of the evening, selected drinks will cost just $1, which is still a bargain.
