A brazen robber slipped through an iron grate and forced his way into an Indian restaurant on Chicago’s North Side last month, taking 384 pounds of marinated lamb, chicken, and beef. Surveillance video shows the thief’s valiant efforts to steal away into the night with the tub o’ meat balanced on the front of his bike before he settles on a shopping cart as a more practical getaway solution. “Who knows if he came with the intention of taking the meat?” the restaurant’s owner says. “He collected everything he wanted to collect.” Police say they’re now looking for a guy who’s been doing a lot of grilling.
