Yesterday it was revealed that all 200 employees of Pastis will lose their jobs early next year when a massive construction project commences on the site of the meatpacking-district institution, but proprietor Keith McNally will try to restore everything at the brasserie once renovations are complete. “I anticipate the construction will take a year,” he tells Eater NY. “My plan is to reopen Pastis as soon as construction is finished.
