The institute formerly known as Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School will pack up its knives and relocate to 71,000 square feet on two floors within lower Manhattan’s soon-to-open Brookfield Place. The Institute of Culinary Education will count, among its new neighbors, a large marketplace the developer has compared to Eataly, as well as outposts of Umami Burger, Parm, and a dozen more casual restaurants, when it opens next year.
