One of Yoshihito Kida’s soba restaurants has closed, leaving its second location at 37 Kenmare Street (just five blocks away) as the next best place to get big bowlfuls of the fresh, “heartwarming” buckwheat noodles. Kida’s first Cocoron, which opened on Delancey Street in December of 2010 with twelve seats and a long menu of soups brimming with taro, yuba, and all the fixins’, was an instant hit. The second shop has a few more seats and is also typically jammed with customers, but it’s worth the wait. [Bowery Boogie, Earlier]
