Flowers Foods Inc., which purchased Wonder Bread and a few other Hostess brands in February for $355 million, has finally started distributing the product. Wonder Bread returned to supermarket shelves on Monday sporting a retro packaging, and Flowers boasts that it used a recipe “from an earlier time.” If the plan works, you’ll stand in the grocery aisle, teary-eyed and nostalgic for that “earlier time” when you thought processed carbs were actually healthy.
