When 51-year-old criminal Robert James Finanders couldn’t open the cash drawer at Hales Restaurant in Milwaukie, Oregon, he decided to pick up the entire register and run. Several customers, who were enjoying their Sunday brunch, got up and chased after Finanders. He proceeded to throw the cash register onto the ground, hop into a stolen van, and then crash into another car. This story ends with the patrons surrounding the car, pouncing on Finanders, and “putting a forearm shiver” on him. American heroes. [KGW]
