Leah Cohen isn’t the only big-name chef suing some business partners: Scott Conant is currently suing some former partners and LDV Hospitality, a company that itself spun off from Conant’s Scarpetta-related group and now runs restaurants such as American Cut and Bistro La Promenade. Among Conant’s complaints: Closings of several LDV properties hurt his business, LDV violated an operating agreement by opening restaurants too close to Conant’s, and Scarpetta was never reimbursed for money it provided to Conant’s former partners.
