McDonald’s ‘Massacre’ Narrowly Avoided in Texas

A man’s gun failed to go off when he tried to fire at least five shots in a crowded Fort Worth McDonald’s, saving lives in a botched robbery that almost became something far more tragic. The attempted shooter, who says he’d been hearing voices, was getting some water when he “just snapped” and pulled the gun with the idea of stealing someone’s car to “get away.” While police say they’ve never seen anything like such apparent divine intervention, the attempted shooter asserts the pistol just wasn’t cocked, telling NBC 5, “Why am I gonna cock when I wasn’t trying to kill?” The gunman is being held on five charges of aggravated robbery.
