• Friday, September 20, is the second annual Viva La Comida food-truck festival. From 4 to 10 p.m. on 82nd Street between Roosevelt and Baster Avenues in Queens, mobile venders like Tortas Neza (arepas), Amdo (Tibetan momo), and Morocho (Peruvian fusion food) will gather, and there will be live music and a dancing competition. To go on an intimate tour of the trucks for $100, reserve here. [Grub Street]

• In honor of their new artists in residence (the music ensemble Alarm Will Sound), the Met is offering a preconcert menu of classic cocktails, which will be served at the Balcony Bar and the Petrie Court Café when AWS perform. The menu hasn’t been released yet but will include offerings like a blood-orange Manhattan and gin and apple tonic. [Grub Street]
