The original Union Square location of Heartland Brewery will soon be no more. The suits-and-brews mini-chain will close when their lease expires at the end of this year, the New York Post reports. The flagship bar “had a very nice run,” says owner John Bloostein, but he’s not calling it quits yet. Commuters and tourists can still get their jalapeño-popper-and-cask-ale fix at other Manhattan locales such as Port Authority and Times Square. [NYP]
