Over in London, Bloomberg’s Richard Vines checked in with Elena Arzak — the chef behind the three-Michelin-starred Arzak restaurant in Spain and London’s Ametsa With Arzak Instruction — and filed a piece on Arzak’s thoughts about both being a woman chef and winning an award that designated her the world’s “best female chef.” Here’s what Arzak said: “For me, it has always been normal to be a woman chef. I see it as an award to my profession. If at the same time it can help women who are not in a similar position to mine, even better.” Sounds about right. [Bloomberg, Related]
